So I missed my post last night because I pretty much slept from the time I got home from work until this morning. Stupid headaches. It made me sad because it’s the first Monday i missed (because of me) since I started Doodlehoose. It broke a multiyear streak. Now we start over.
This is a picture I’m in the process of painting it’s inspired by the work of photographer Angelica Dass who has started a project called Humanae that explores the beauty and individuality of skin color in contrast to racism. Her site is over at http://www.angelicadass.com/humanae-work-in-progress and you should definitely check it out.
The painting is acrylic on heavy paper. I like where it’s going, but it isn’t there yet. Also this is only part of it because it doesn’t all fit in the scanner.
