Doodle Hoose is a blog of the thoughts and art of Hoose (that’s me, and my brother, and son and occasionally my wife and other son too (Hoose is the plural of Hoose (like moose, but with an H))). Think of us as sort of Thing One and Thing Two, but without the blue hair (or much of any hair). However, I do think that you should consider the weight of the Drs. Hoose pun that is right there to be had (full disclosure neither of us are PHDs or MDs and are not qualified to tell you what that lump is).
This blog is our decision to contribute to the artistic community of the interwebs. It’s our first blog so expect to find mistakes, triumphs, restarts, victories and all the messy imperfection of real people.
Hoose One is a husband, father, brother, son, Christian, teacher, illustrator, run-on sentencer, sci-fi fan, comic book enjoyer, book reader and general doodler. So if you find any of those topics interesting take a look around. If you don’t find any of those topics interesting then you might want to take a look at Hoose Too. I guess I get to be Hoose One because I was born first, and I started the blog, but Hoose Too is probably the number one artist. I will be taking on Montag (that’s Monday for those of you who have taken high school German).
Hoose Too is a son, brother (mine actually), Christian, illustrator, short sentencer, comic book fan, sports enthusiast, and artist extraordinaire (he’s not bragging, it’s Hoose One writing (and I’m allowed to brag about my brother)). If you don’t like any of those topics either than you can still look around, but you don’t have too (it’s not a law or anything). Hoose Too will be taking on Friday (that’s Friday for those who took high school English) posts and if we have any that come as bonuses (like a Wild Card Wednesday or Trixy Thursday (0r any other pun with a day of the week you can think of), then we’ll let you know who’s (or Hoose) writing.
Enjoy the blogs!
Hey, i LOVE the new website. very cool. Tried to leave a comment on your post, but didn’t see a place to do that. Hopefully, I will be able to in the future. This is so neat. Yer gonna do great things with this blog. Here’s to many future posts! Hugs!
I will try to figure that out. It is my first blog and I’m not sure of all the nuts and bolts, but I’ll get on it.
Hey look. There we are.
Thanks for providing a way to leave comments. I would like it if the button was at the bottom of your post, but hey, ya can’t have everything, right. 😉
This is awesome! I think the “run-on sentencer” thing might run in the family. Thanks for the inspiration to not leave things for the someday. As a recovering procrastinating perfectionist, I really needed to hear that. Keep it going.
Hey I want to be one of your Superheros!!!
What are your powers?
I need to get that done. I did the sketches in September, but two children and all the rest make for a busy Hoose
Awesome blog!
Thanks. Yours was fun to check out too.
I have tried to LIKE several of your blogs, but when I do, it always says that LIKE is “loading…” What’s up with that? 🙁 I like the posts this week, even though I can’t LIKE them on your web page.
Fun stuff here. I’m always glad to see teachers who love comics. I find people who appreciate comics usually also have an appreciation for finding new ways to communicate ideas- an essential quality for a meaningful educator!! Keep up the good work!
Thanks. I feel like I have to do my own work to keep the inspiration flowing and to keep me accountable for sharpening my skills.
