Fastbird Special

Print

This week’s doodle is another inspired by Disney owning everything. I can admit to quite enjoying Star Wars Angry Birds and I thought that since Disney owns Marvel and obviously has connections with Rovio then why not bring on the next generation of licensed birds.

Can you hear me now?

Batman with Sonar Small

This week’s post is my version of Batman with a non-lethal crowd control sound gun. The U.S. used rock and roll to psychologically combat a besieged Manuel Noriega in Panama so I figure Batman would know those tactics too. You get to imagine what kind of music he could use to drive you away, but I think that really loud barbershop quartet would send me packing.

More of the four

Invisible Girl small

Human Torch small

This is my take on The Invisible Girl and the Human Torch. Torch is the character I took the most liberty with because after warming up with the other three I wanted to add my own interpretation. I figure that the space radiation changed him at a cellular level and that the fire comes from inside out. That way you get to see all of his muscles. My wife said it was gross, but oh well.

A warm cup of Joe.

Here’s something I did awhile ago and tossed some color on.  I think it’s a little too green/yellow.

A little child

Aaron small

I do have more Fantastic Four to show you, but I am saving them for next week and the week after. With the Christmas holiday nearly upon us my mind was drawn more to children, and especially my own.

This is a drawing that I made for a teacher sample/Christmas gift for my mom. It’s my youngest son. As a parent of two young boys Christmas is new again. I have never lost my curiosity for what is hidden behind the wrapping paper, but my oldest boy has been asking me when we open the presents for the past week (he has a selective understanding of calendars)! He is truly excited.

We’ve talked to him about the day being about the birth of Jesus. I’ve been thinking about what it must be like for God to lose his precious son. It’s an amazing time of year to reflect. Enjoy the drawing and have a great Christmas.

Reed Richards

This week’s post is more fantastic four. This one is Reed Richards and I am eager to get the scanner up again because the colors in the photo are a bit funky.
