Gotham Belongs to Me

Okay this week is more Photoshop mashing up Batman with another hero. What if Batman had a suit like Tony Stark. This doesn’t really count as a mash up because Batman Beyond does use cool(er) suit like Iron Man, but since my source material was pictures of Batman and Iron Man it is technically a mash up. None of this was drawn except the pointy ears.

This is a little later than normal because I just got back from a trip to the New York City Comic Con and had other quick things to do before I could hop on the computer. Look for more posts this week about fun things from Comic Con. It was a great time with bothDoodlehooses in attendance as well as a Canadian Doodlehoose!

Joker you are guilty

This week’s post is a what if. What if Bruce Wayne had made the same deal that turned ghost rider into a flaming ball of vengeance? So here’s my version of Batman with the powers of Ghost Rider. To anyone feeling up to the challenge I would like to see the Batmobile ghosted out as well (I may do that, but ran out of umph).

I drew Batman and a skull for a teacher sample and then decided to put them together in Photoshop. I made the fire effect as well so the only thing that I grabbed from the internet was the bat symbol which I fired up (and the reference for Michael Keaton Batman and a skull).

Y – versus – Z

Kicking crime in the bum.

The Marvel A-vs-B has kicked Hoose Two’s butt. I’ve been late, I’ve been entirely absent, I’ve just had a hard time with this one. Not sure why, but it’s been a weird one for sure.

These characters are Yellow Jacket and Zaladane (I had to look up Zaladane to find a Z character) Once I looked Zaladane up I remembered her (I think) from a Jim Lee Savage Land story in X-Men.

I had a very hard time getting this one done, but here it is finally.

Ugh

Today’s post is brought to you by a migraine that has had me in bed most of the day. I have suffered from migraines for as long as I can remember and they are not fun. I made this print on rice paper using a linoleum cut during my grad school printmaking class. I know it’s not fresh, but I haven’t shared it here before. It was influenced by comic book style as well as Japanese prints.

And for those of you trying to empathize I did a version that is 3D and may induce Migraines if you stair too long
