Found You!
An illustration for a story I wrote, to prove to a cousin of mine that I can write a happy story. Now, how could this illustration not accompany a happy story, tell me that?
Westen ala Bamboo
Okay so it’s still Monday. I haven’t reconnected my scanner yet so this week’s post is a painting of a drawing I already had scanned. I took the sketch below and used my bamboo to paint it. My reference is at the bottom, but no tracing of the photo (just stealing colors).

Too super for boys town, too much of a boy for super town
This is the beginning of a game that I’m designing that I’m calling Super Town. I might change the name to Super City, but I’m still not sure about that.
As you can see by the map Super Town is prone to supers because they put housing projects next to the nuclear power plant and the high school next to a Genetics Lab.
To play you get a character card and then power up and create your own name and origin story. There will be different scenarios like, “Save the City” or “Abduct the Mayor” depending on your Evil/Good quotient.

Before you get on me about the obviousness of Rex, the girl dinosaur, being pink and Meow Meow the cat being blue, you should know that Meow Meow is also a girl.
I kinda like the bent tail, probably should have used that on the final image.
Here are a few sketches. The far left is the first drawing of Meow Meow and Rex that wasn’t just a square and a triangle. Rex was originally going to be a tiny dino, but where’s the fun in that. The one on the far right is fun, but perhaps a little too Pinky and the Brain. I don’t want Rex to be a dimwit, but I do want Rex to be fun loving.

As the party started to really take off, Rick removed his shirt, grabbed hold of his love handles* and climbed into the sack.
The space ship was originally a helmet. The alien was a doodle I did at work.
*those things in his hands are his custom made, special order aboriginal didgeridoo’s… he calls them his Love Handles.
