This Wednesday introduces the amazingly talented Doodlehoose Jr. (J). Doodlehoose Jr. is six years old and looking forward to sharing his art with you. Come back on Wednesdays and check it out. He may not be able to get something up every week (after all it is his first year of school), but he’s gonna try.
J drew this werewolf and created the title so that you could have a little Halloween in February. Daddy (Robert Hoose) scanned it and added the black at his son’s command.
J gave us this story to go with the illustration. Oh no, the Werewolf has got me!

This week’s post is in honor of one of my best friends Garrett Herdter. He has been designing games for several years and this year he will have his first three published! Rolling for Amusement is one of his games that is coming out in 2015. It’s is a dice rolling game where you try to build the best amusement park in the world (while also sabotaging competitors). My brother (Doodlehoose Two) and I did the concept art for the game box and cards. The company that picked it up went with a different artist, but the game is still super cool. I didn’t ask to be created
This week’s post is inspired by Skottie Young’s style and some class monsters. Wolfman, Gill Man and Dr. Frankenstein’s Monster (he never bother to name the poor fellow, but then again when you use the parts of so many different corpses who gets the naming rights?), and the Invisible Man (can you find him).
I made these by drawing them with a sharpy then coloring them with regular crayola markers (on both sides of regular copy paper) and spritzing them with water to blend the colors. Wolfman was the only one that I had to rework after it dried because his plaid shirt blended with his fur.
Hope you like them. I plan to do more.
