J presents this week’s post “Birdies and Bombs.” He says that this work shows, “That birds can explode easily.” He said his inspiration was because, “He likes birds.” I asked him how that works with blowing them up and he said, “because I’m crazy.” I’m thinking it might also have something to do with his love of Angry Birds (I hope). I know his hunting grandpa might express the same feelings.
Gimme some sugar baby
While watching Burn Notice I decided to draw Bruce in an earlier incarnation. Didn’t get time to do the color, but I want to. Bruce Campbell is so good at making movies that are more fun to quote than to actually watch.
Was watching M*A*S*H the other night and started doodling. Ended up drawing two versions of each of the main characters (except Winchester, didn’t get Winchester done before I went to bed)

Fire me and I’ll fire you!
Okay last week was supposed to be dinosaurs in your face, but there were some issues with Doodlehoose Jr. and it didn’t get out. This week Doodlehoose Jr. is sick with a fever so we’re going to pinch hit a drawing he did of a dragon he did. It’s not necessarily in your face, but does seem to have some problem with the HR department.
J says that, “This dragon will eat your face” (which wasn’t quite what you were told to expect, but your face being in a dragon is kind of like a dinosaur in your face). J is still recovering so he didn’t have much more to say than that.
Look for us next week when J says you can expect, “A secret.”

I’m totally hungry for ducklings
These ducks are my dinner.
So last week J promised Aliens and here they are. This was a craft that we made during the February break.
J says this a cautionary artwork that tells you to, “Watch out for aliens that might be at your door. And, hid your ducks.”
When building the artwork J made two ducks so that one would be him and one would be his little brother.
J says next we’re going to have dinosaurs in your face!
Sooooo Symmetrical
This week is completely random. Well at least it started that way. I had a class that was already a day ahead of all the other classes on the day before a week long break. Only three students showed up so I didn’t want to launch into a brand new major project and this one was born. Inspired by Rorschach tests, we took black acrylic paint and dripped it onto a pieces of paper and folded it. Then you had to look for something in the blots that you could use and adjust the painting. I thought mine looked like a cool helmet so I put a face in it. You should try this too and see what you come up with.
