“I do not want people to be very agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them a great deal.”
I liked Matt’s theme of literary figures and decided that we needed to add Jane Austen. I love her dialogue and grasp of character. She makes such fun and insightful characters that I don’t even mind the sappy endings.
Jane is well known for her keen wit and insight into the human condition. She is less well known for her mastery of the two-handed claymore favored by William Wallace and all warrior poets.
Here’s my color version.
Below is the reference that I worked from. It’s a flipped and colored version of an etching that I found, but didn’t find the attribution.
Frustrated at not mastering digital painting! However, this is a more complicated piece than I have tried.
These here are some doodles that Doodlehoose Too made while we were watching Dr. Who on his birthday visit North. One seems truly random while the other is Space Chips- Hurry out and buy some now!
