“I do not want people to be very agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them a great deal.”
I liked Matt’s theme of literary figures and decided that we needed to add Jane Austen. I love her dialogue and grasp of character. She makes such fun and insightful characters that I don’t even mind the sappy endings.
Jane is well known for her keen wit and insight into the human condition. She is less well known for her mastery of the two-handed claymore favored by William Wallace and all warrior poets.
Here’s my color version.

“What is right to be done cannot be done too soon.”
Below is the reference that I worked from. It’s a flipped and colored version of an etching that I found, but didn’t find the attribution.

A painting of an etching made from a sketch by Jane’s sister’s drawing of her (I don’t know who painted or etched it, but I copied from it since google didn’t have any photos of Jane ;))
