The scale is all wrong here.
Thank you for all the feedback. I tried to incorporate it all into the final design. I enlarged the bottom so that I could put the print over the top and not cover too much illustration (Meg’s suggestion), I used over the top instead of under (all the guys suggestion), and I cleaned up the arm (everyone’s suggestion).
I have now submitted it to Threadless.com for critique. It’s the first time I’ve ever done that so I’m interested to see what happens. Also I last second changed the background to white and I’m a bit nervous about that (like the white background hate white Ts (life is too short to deal with pit stains)).
Tossed in the final one on the black background too to see what you all thought. Even if Threadless.com doesn’t choose it I’m going to offer it in my artist shop so sooner or later you’ll see it there.

So you are on the inside track of my design process. Which one of these four would you wear?
What do you like? What would you change? Do I need to add some flesh tone to his face (I had it in my first round and was planning to add it to this one, but the white seemed to work, now I’m doubting myself)?

I know this isn’t a new concept, but I worked through an old one. Doodlehoose Too suggested I get it ready for a t-shirt and I wasn’t wholly satisfied with Round 1. Above is Round 3 and below is Round 2.
I added the wall to both, but added cinders and dirt to the top one and dropped the gun and the flesh tone. Now the question is should I add Winter is coming? I think I should but i don’t know where.

So I missed my post last night because I pretty much slept from the time I got home from work until this morning. Stupid headaches. It made me sad because it’s the first Monday i missed (because of me) since I started Doodlehoose. It broke a multiyear streak. Now we start over.
This is a picture I’m in the process of painting it’s inspired by the work of photographer Angelica Dass who has started a project called Humanae that explores the beauty and individuality of skin color in contrast to racism. The painting is acrylic on heavy paper. I like where it’s going, but it isn’t there yet. Also this is only part of it because it doesn’t all fit in the scanner.
