I actually did this design a while ago, but I didn’t share it on Doodlehoose. However, I’ve been working the program for camp and it crowded out my drawing time today so here’s the camp logo for the year. The theme for the year is missions.

Why the long face?
So I googled the word, “hairstyles” and used the images to randomly draw. After doing that I felt weird about provenance so I’ve included the photos with the drawings. However, I don’t know who’s images they are. Count these as a drawing exercises not original artwork.
This week is a bunch of random doodles I did, plus a monster from the cover of an old comic that I found in a reference book about old comics.

Working out my thoughts about Ex Machina
Did this piece during a professional development at the Memorial Art Gallery. It’s a drawing based on a sculpture by the French artist Antoine Bourdelle. It’s called Young Warrior With a Sword, but I have dubbed it- Checking My Pits Before Battle.
Here’s a pic of the actual sculpture in bronze. I think that guy in the back would have an easier time hitch-hiking if he put some clothes on.

Here’s my idea… Ben is 40, Adam is 21, Hoss is 17, and Little Joe is actually little and only 9 years old.
Joe doesn’t carry a weapon cause he’s to little, Hoss doesn’t carry a gun cause he’s too emotional (sometimes he gets carried away) but can do plenty of damage with just a hammer, Adam carries a pistol (you can’t see it behind Ben’s arm), and Ben is a deadeye with the long riffle.
They life on the Ponderosa and have the largest cattle ranch in the state.
I wanted to do the whole drawing, but ran out of time. Perry was fun to draw.
