Here’s my take on Mr. Freeze. He’s slowly growing muscle that can hold the cold on it’s own. He still has to wear the freezer pants because he hasn’t grown/grafted all the muscles yet (and you have to wear pants in civilization).

The idea of him growing new tissue that can work with the cold is cool. I don’t think I’ve seen that one before.
He looks like he has a baby head.
I like the baby head. He’s willing to graft muscle on his body to hold in the cold, but he’s afraid to mess with his head. Even though intellectually he knows that the brain is the seat of intellect, emotionally he can’t disconnect his head from who he is. So his head still needs the tank of cold stuff to keep it chill.
He doesn’t wanna risk it… cause what if he ends up messing up his mind and then can’t think how to undo what he just did… makes sense.
